The Isla Vista Community Services District (IVCSD) has recently open a resource center for survivors of sexual assault, following several recent incidents at a couple of UCSB fraternities.

According to the IVCSD, two sexual assaults were reported at Sigma Pi Fraternity, and additional incidents involving date rape drugs were reported at an unidentified fraternity.

The new Survivor Resource Center is located at 970 Embarcadero Del Mar. The IVCSD is working with Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (STESA) to provide services to survivors and their loved ones. Those seeking more information may call STESA (805) 564-3696.

The IVCSD says other resources available to the community include UC Santa Barbara's Interpersonal Violence Investigations and Prevention Detective, Kovena Avila, who can be reached via email at kovena.avila@police.ucsb.edu. Campus Advocacy Resources and Education may also be contacted at (805) 893-4613.
