Carrie lived in Isla Vista from 1975 to 1988 and graduated from UCSB with a degree in Economics in 1977. She worked for a number of local nonprofits and family-owned businesses before becoming employed by Santa Barbara County in 2000.  Until she retired from the County in 2018, Carrie served as a Division Chief in the Auditor-Controller’s Office, the Assistant Director of Behavioral Wellness, the Interim Public Health Director, and the Child Support Director.
