Committees

The Isla Vista Community Services District approved the creation of three standing committees at its inaugural meeting: Policy, Formation, and Internship. Board committees examine information, hold in-depth discussions, and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on actions to take. Decisions made by committees are not final. Below are the past and future meetings of each committee, click on the meeting to view the agenda, minutes, and video recording.

Legislative Committee

The Legislative Platform Committee is currently in the process of being created to adivse the IVCSD Board on the creation of legislation that protects and enhances the public health, safety, and welfare of Isla Vista

Finance Committee

Our finance committee is responsible for monitoring our budget, drafting our budget each year, and implementing our financial related policies. Find out more on our District Finances page.

Policy Committee

Our Policy Committee is responsible for developing and modifying district policies as comprised in the policy manual. See more in our policy manual:

Parking Committee

The parking committee was created to discuss parking study updates, review data collection results, and coordinate next steps. The committee consists of members of the IVCSD board, representatives from the County of Santa Barbara, representatives from UCSB, and staff members from DIXON Resources Unlimited - the consultants for the parking study.
