Safety Tips for a Legendary Night:
- Be Your Own Bartender: Watch your drink being prepared and carry it yourself.
- Seal the Deal: Opt for bottled or canned beverages and ensure the seal is intact before opening.
- Keep It Close: Never leave your sight. Drink spiking can happen in milliseconds. If you need to step away, finish it or get a new one upon return.
- Trust Your Instincts: If something tastes or smells off, don't drink it. It's better to be safe.
- Squad Goals: Party with friends you trust, and look out for each other throughout the night.
- Accessorize Smartly: Consider using drink covers or universal straw lids to protect your beverage.
- Stay Informed: Educate yourself about the symptoms of common date rape drugs and consider carrying detection tools.
If You Suspect Drink Spiking:
- Seek Help: Alert someone you know and trust immediately.
- Stay Together: Ensure the affected person isn't left alone and avoid letting them leave with someone unfamiliar.
- Get Medical Attention: Consult a healthcare professional as soon as possible.
- Report the Incident: Contact local authorities to prevent future occurrences.
