Richard grew up in the Goleta/ Santa Barbara area. He learned how to use microscopy to conduct biological analysis on soil and compost samples under Dr. Elaine Ingham and the Soil Food Web School. Richard applies his knowledge to our work by helping us identifying the types of microscopic life within our compost material, which helps us assess quality and stage of decomposition.
