Items in Good Condition
If you have items in good condition (unwanted clothing, small furniture items, books, etc.), you have many options beyond throwing them away!
Donate your bulky items to a local thrift store!
View a list of thrift stores in Goleta, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Oxnard below.
Be sure to call ahead to make sure that the thrift store is accepting donations.

For local pick-up, list your items for sale or for free on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
If you have the ability ship your item, sell online using third-party apps or websites such as:
- Depop
- E-Bay
- Mercari
- The Real Real
Let us help you donate your unwanted items—without the hassle. If you have donatable items or unopened, non-perishable food but are too busy or don’t have access to transportation, our Donation Pick-Up Service makes it easy. We’ll collect your items directly from your doorstep and deliver them to local organizations or thrift stores.
We accept most gently used items in good condition, including:
- Clothing and shoes
- Books and school supplies
- Small furniture and appliances
- Home décor and kitchenware
- Unopened, non-perishable food
- Unopened toiletries (e.g. soap, shampoo, toothpaste)
- And more!

Sell or give-away your unwanted items locally by hosting a yard sale or organizing an item swap between friends!
This is a great way to get rid of your items in good condition. Make a day of it by creating posters, making a fun set-up in your yard, and enjoying time outside. Include your neighbors or friends to encourage others to give their unwanted items a second life!
