Make Move-Out Easier: Start Bringing Items Home Early

Avoid the last-minute stress of packing everything at once! If you start bringing items home over the next few months, your final move-out in June will be quicker, lighter, and way less stressful.

Great Opportunities to Take Stuff Home:

Take advantage of holidays and long weekends when you're already headed home:

  • Spring Break: 3/22/25 - 3/30/25
  • Easter: 4/20/25
  • Memorial Day: 5/26/25

What to Start Packing Now:

Lighten your load in June by gradually packing and taking home items you don’t need for the rest of the year. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Clothing & Gear

  • Clothes and shoes you won’t wear again this year
  • Heavy winter coats, rain gear, and space heaters
  • Seasonal sports gear (snowboarding gear, wetsuits, etc.)

School Supplies

  • Textbooks or books you’re done using
  • Extra notebooks, folders, or paper you no longer need

Room Decor & Extras

  • Picture frames, wall art, and other decor
  • Posters, tapestries, and string lights
  • Holiday decorations
  • Personal keepsakes or souvenirs

Bedding & Home Items

  • Extra bedding, throw blankets, or pillows
  • Duplicates like extra towels, chargers, or water bottles

Kitchen Supplies

  • Extra mugs, utensils, pots, or pans you rarely use
  • Small appliances or tools you’re done with for the year

Miscellaneous Items

  • Electronics you’re not using (speakers, game consoles, spare cords)
  • Board games, puzzles, or hobby materials
  • Reusable grocery bags or tote bags you can spare
