Isla Vista, CA- The Isla Vista Community Services District partners with the Home For Good Santa Barbara County Americorps Partnership and the United Way of Northern Santa Barbara County to operate a support center for people experiencing homelessness in Isla Vista. The center operates Fridays from 12:30-2:30pm at 970 Embarcadero Del Mar. Services provided include Wifi access, meal distribution, and information to more resources. We are actively seeking additional partnerships to expand this service.

Foodbank Distribution Sites operate throughout Santa Barbara County. A full list can be found here

CalFresh is a federally funded food nutrition assistance program. Those who are eligible can receive up to $204 per month for groceries. After you apply, you will receive a plastic electronic benefits card that is reloaded each month. To learn more and determine if you’re eligible, please visit here.

You can also text your zipcode to 898211. is a mutual aid and care networking site that displays the most relevant and accessible independent living, emergency access, and basic need providers depending on an individual’s zip code.
