Adopt A Block

The IVCSD is re-launching the Isla Vista Adopt a Block (AAB) volunteer opportunity!

Through AAB, community members can come grab a bucket and trash grabber to pick up litter in our neighborhoods. The IV Recreation & Park District previously provided this community service since the 1980s. Adopt a Block is essential for reducing litter in Isla Vista.

To get involved, see the office hours schedule below, located at our office (970 Embarcadero Del Mar Suite 101):

WINTER QUARTER (2/20 - 3/6)

Fridays from 10 AM - 1 PM

SPRING QUARTER (4/10 - 5/23)

Fridays from 10 AM - 1 PM
Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM

Starting Feb 23rd, we’ll be offering a self-serve option. Pick up litter anytime by obtaining a code on our website and grabbing supplies from the shed near our office. Stay tuned for more details!
