What's happening with April 4th?

The IVCSD, in partnerhsip with Associated Students, is working to create a new spring festival for our community to save the live music and the creative spirit of Isla Vista. We're not trying to replace the legacy of Deltopia - but we do believe our community deserves a fun, safe community event.

The Context

This January, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors voted to approve the new Deltopia noise ordinance: a 72-hour festival ordiance prohibiting amplified music during the weekend of April 4th. The IVCSD board opposed this ordinance when it was presented and has been actively working for a path forward for our community.

Compete to win cash prizes and spring festival performance slots! Apply using the Interest Form by Thursday, February 19th. Online voting will begin on Friday, February 27th and will run for 24 hours.
