The IVCSD, in partnership with Associated Students, is working to create a new spring festival, Soltopia, for our community to save the live music and the creative spirit of Isla Vista. We're not trying to replace the legacy of Deltopia - but we do believe our community deserves a fun, safe community event.

What does a Soltopia wristband get you?

  • FREE food all day long from our amazing festival vendors (Roger's Tacos, Yetz's Bagel, Bagel Cafe, Super Cuca's, Elubia's, Maria's Tacos, Isla Vista Food Co-op, Woodstock's Pizza, Zocalo)
  • VIP access to each entertainment zone. Skip the lines for music, bevs, bites, and games.
  • Identify yourself as a local. Wristbands are exclusive to IV and on-campus residents.

How to get one:

  • Fill out the Wristband Sign-Up Form
  • Pick up in-person from March 30th - April 3rd at the IV Community Center from 9 AM - 8 PM
  • Register as an individual OR with a campus / IV organization (ex: Greek life, campus clubs, etc.)

Wristbands are free for locals! Just provide proof of residency like a screenshot of a lease, utility bill, dormitory card, etc.

The Backstory

This January, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors voted to approve the new Deltopia noise ordinance: a 72-hour festival ordiance prohibiting amplified music during the weekend of April 4th. The IVCSD board opposed this ordinance when it was presented and has been actively working for a path forward for our community.
